Q: What are the rules at Alta Lofts about dogs, utilities included in HOA, earthquake insurance etc? A: Any non-aggressive dog is ok. The dog must be gentle and not aggressive. We don’t have a copy of the rules available. The seller pays to give the buyer the CC&Rs during escrow. Alta HOA includes water, hot water, gas, trash, sewer, amenities. There’s no earthquake insurance at Alta and none at most condos. Owners have to buy their own and its too expensive for most people also. When is the best time to buy a house or condo in Los Angeles?
When is the best time to buy a home in Los Angeles?  5G a death trap for DTLA?  Here are READER QUESTIONS:

Q: When should I buy a condo in DTLA?
A: If you’re living for free in your parent’s basement, then consider waiting a couple more years for prices to bottom out.  If you’re paying high rent, then right now may be the best time to own a loft or other home.

For answers about real estate market timing for urban Los Angeles real estate, you’ve found the right place.  With all of the good and bad, pros and cons, home prices and pitfalls, the L.A. Loft Blog is the authority of Downtown Los Angeles residential real estate.  Local real estate prices have come down about 4% over the past year.  We expect prices to fall another 8% over the next two years.  While nobody can provide an exactly correct prediction, our projections indicate an overall median price drop of $60,000 for 2019 to 2021.  The average DTLA renter is spending more than $90,000 on rent over that same period.  Now that low interest rates and down payments of 0% to 2% are available, it’s most cost effective to purchase for those who are planning on staying put in a Downtown condo for several years.  More local real estate market information is at https://www.laloftblog.com/?s=real+estate+market
