SB Grand to Set Record in the Arts

Exactly one mile from the Arts District, the Shybary Grand building is on its way to become the world’s largest canvas for the greatest mural by a single artist. #sbgrand #robertvargas #dtla

One of the characters in the mural is an angel with the face inspired by a local homeless woman whom Vargas uplifts via his art.  Another angel is based on his mother who first introduced Robert to Downtown Los Angeles as a child.

The massive mural has been under way for many months, being painstakingly created across the street from Pershing Square in Downtown Los Angeles.
