Lofts, Condos and Apartments by Downtown LA Gay Bar Scene – DTLA Goes GLBT

In a recent article in Metro Weekly, Downtown Los Angeles reportedly wants to be the new West Hollywood. DTLA is slowly transforming into a desirable LGBT destination.

While Downtown will never be West Hollywood, and certainly does not want to be, it is a bit closer perhaps to being the new Hollywood.  Downtown has had Hollywood roots for ages, with many films and TV shows shot here daily, and with its own sizable Los Angeles Center Studios, and many celebrities having called it home since Charlie Chaplin resided and frolicked here at the turn of the century. #dtla #glbt

Now it’s easier to live in a cool place that is walking distance to the bars and all of the other pubs, restaurants, entertainment, shopping and transportation. Most of them are around the Historic Core:

The Tower of Power: Why Bunker Hill Tower's Best Condos are Selling Now #bunkerhilltower

Location and panoramic views are the main reasons why prospective home buyers are attracted to Downtown’s original modern residential luxury high-rise with conventional 60’s contemporary exterior, the largest complement of condominium amenities in the cleanest, quietest part of a renewed Downtown, and adjacent to one of the largest performing arts centers in the United States.  #downtownlabunker-hill-tower-2308-sold

Approaching 50 years of quality durable existence, the prestigious Bunker Hill Tower quietly stands out as the archetype of ultimate living in DTLA. Some of the large corner units have been renovated and updated with the finest luxurious upgrades.

Until recently, no units asking over $1 million have sold in the building since 2006. That ten year dry spell for luxury units ended in March 2016 when the immaculate unit 2508 sold for $1.1 million.  Now, two more million dollar condos in the building are suddenly being quietly bought up as the newly updated unit #3007 went under contract just days ago, and now, rumor has it that the larger unit #2305, with polished concrete floors, raised ceilings and its own moniker, The Bunker Hill Loft, has received offers and therefore could be taken off the market within a matter of days.  www.BunkerHillLoft.com  |  VIDEO

The once stodgy building appears to be turning over a new leaf, attracting buyers to invest bigger dollars as Downtown explodes with excitement and growth.  More owners are renovating the condo units, attracting vibrant, energetic artists to move back into the building. On Hope Street, a new Metro regional connector is under construction, linking the Broad Museum and Grand Plaza to the Arts District and Santa Monica.
