Real Estate Los Angeles Crime

SPECIAL NEWS ALERT! OUT OF GAS! Thousands of gas stations completely out of gas due to panic buying across the country.

REAL ESTATE NEWS (Los Angeles, CA) — While most Los Angeles single family homes have experienced a boom recently, condos in Downtown and other urban centers have dropped in value. The reasons are many, but crime and other safety concerns top the list of reasons for the decline in metropolitan lofts and condos.

Violent crimes, including drive-by shootings, armed robbery, stabbings and murder continue to rise. Unchecked homeless criminals and radical left politicians like LA County District Attorney George Gascón are sometimes blamed for the increasing crime. Gascón claims that he is focused on violent crime but one only needs to glance at Gascón’s twitter feed to see that he is obsessed with reducing prosecutions of too many violent offenders. Seven local city councils have passed resolutions expressing no confidence in Gascón.

Residents of Los Angeles, especially in and around Downtown, are painfully aware of the increasing danger, and decreasing home values.

When we discussed rising crime with several cops on the street, they expressed that they’re being told not to enforce most laws that may involve anyone who is possibly homeless, and they say that there are not enough police officers to address all of the concerns of L.A. residents. Several LAPD officers expressed to the Loft Blog team that the police are primarily concerned with protecting accused violent offenders, and that law-abiding citizens need to video everything, get every detail of any violent crime on video, otherwise the police will be unlikely to take much action after residents are attacked. They added that, unless a citizen is bleeding, LAPD is not always able to provide any assistance whatsoever regarding violent crimes. OK I think we got it now. If residents are bleeding, and we have the attack on video, the police might show up and make an arrest, if the perpetrator is still around.
