1100 Wilshire Special Update – Downtown Los Angeles Loft Condominiums

In a recent L.A. Loft Blog post, we reported about how the homeowners of 1100 Wilshire Blvd got what they asked for, but apparently paid an extremely hefty price (see full article).  In it, the L.A. Loft Blog incorrectly reported that Chase Bank purchased or leased control of 1100 Wilshire guest parking.  The L.A. Loft Blog has since learned that the former guest parking is primarily controlled by the commercial space owner Wilshire Commercial LLC. The free guest parking was lost in connection with ongoing litigation between 1100 Wilshire Property Owners Association and Wilshire Commercial LLC. #1100wilshire #lawsuits

Some homeowners have since complained that the problems mentioned in the L.A. Loft Blog (loss of guest parking and reduced maintenance) are caused, not by Chase Bank, but by a rogue homeowners board that has launched extremely expensive lawsuits without majority homeowner approval.  The homeowners board and management believe that they are working in the homeowners best interests to reverse adverse impacts to the homeowners caused by actions of Wilshire Commercial LLC.

The HOA actually lost control of its valuable, once plentiful guest parking to the retail owner due to ongoing litigation with the building’s retail space owner Wilshire Commercial LLC.

Downtown LA Art Walk Thursday October 13 #artwalk #dtla

Start an exciting, creative evening at the Art Walk Lounge (634 S. Spring St.), the visitor center for the Art Walk.

Visitors can pick up maps, view and purchase art from uniquely curated exhibitions featuring local and international artists, support artisans and microbusinesses through the Art Mart, and sample items. The Downtown Art Walk Lounge is open from 6-10PM.

With exciting and unique offerings around every corner, Downtown celebrates the arts on the 2nd Thursday of each month, year-round, rain or shine. The Art Walk Lounge opens at 6pm, and local participating gallery hours vary, typically ranging from Noon – 10PM. Check individual gallery listings for details.

Many of The Downtown Art Walk activities take shape in and around the galleries predominantly on Spring and Main streets between 2nd and 9th streets. There’s also a plethora of art-related events and openings, activities, and special programming taking place all over Downtown. For the true art collectors and fans, arriving early offers a more relaxing stroll through the different galleries and art exhibitions.

As the evening progresses, more visitors descend upon the area to meet up with friends and savor the local experience. Visitors and Downtowners alike can often be found patronizing the outcropping of local shopping, dining and entertainment establishments that have created the thriving, vibrant community.
