Real Estate vs Bitcoin

Which one has done better as an investment over the last 10 years? A house? or a blockchain cryptocurrency? It’s not even close. While U.S. real estate has gone up more than 100% over that time, Bitcoin has skyrocketed more than 9 million percent over the same period. You cannot live in a bitcoin, but you can buy around 98,000 homes today if you put the price of just one average home into bitcoin in 2010. If you had done so, you would enjoy nearly $30 billion today. Does that sound like it might be worth looking into? #bitcoin

How about if you did not learn of bitcoin until 5 years ago, and put $250,000 into it then? How much could you sell it for today? You would have acquired 871 bitcoins, which today would be worth more than $10 million. Not a bad take for acting on the information provided by the L.A. Loft Blog. We first mentioned Bitcoin in 2014, and then later in 2017, we suggested that Bitcoin be considered along with real estate as a top investment pick. Those who like that suggestion, saw a $923 investment turn into $11,800. While you still cannot live in a bitcoin, you can certainly enjoy living in all of the lofts, condos and houses that your profit can provide you.

Over the last two years, home prices around Downtown Los Angeles have mostly dropped, while Bitcoin nearly doubled in value.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America, “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” 

This, of course, is the Introduction to The U.S. Declaration of Independence. Wikipedia explains it this way:  The introduction asserts as a matter of Natural Law the ability of a people to assume political independence; acknowledges that the grounds for such independence must be reasonable, and therefore explicable, and ought to be explained.  The next section of the declaration is called the Preamble. It outlines a general philosophy of government that justifies revolution when the government harms natural rights. We are very familiar with the first part of that section… right? 

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. 

Beautiful famous words. Those words really come to life for us when you consider the idea of owning real estate, especially your own HOME.

Which leads me to the next part of the Declaration of Independence, called the Indictment.  The Indictment is a bill of particulars documenting the king’s “repeated injuries and usurpations” of the Americans’ rights and liberties.
